HOISIN GLAZED BBQ RIBS
Ingredients:
- 2 racks of St. Louis Ribs, 2.75-3 lbs.
For Rub:
- 1 ½ tsp. Five Spice powder
- ½ tsp. ground black pepper
- ½ tsp. Kosher salt
- Combine above ingredients together.
For the Sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- 3 Tbsp. honey or agave
- 1 Tbsp. Chile garlic sauce
- ½ cup hoisin sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Tamari
- 1 tsp five spice powder
- 1 Tbsp. fresh minced ginger
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Using the combine rub, pat into the meat until all used. Double wrap in foil and place on baking sheet. Place in oven and roast for 2 – 2 ½ hours until the meat begins to pull away from the bone.
- In a sauce pan combine ingredients and bring to a simmer over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes; turn off and set aside.
- Once ribs are cooked glaze with sauce and return to oven for 10 minutes to caramelize.
