HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE FLATBREAD WITH BROCCOLI RABE
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp. Olive oil
- ½ medium onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp. minced garlic
- Prima Porta® Hot Italian rope sausage, cooked and cut into slices
- 4 – flatbread (purchased)
- ¼ cup rough chopped basil
- 1 head broccoli rabe, chopped
- ½ cup roasted red peppers
- 1 ½ cup shredded four cheese mixture
- 1 cup Marinara sauce
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook off sausage until done or internal temperature reaches 160°F. In a sauté pan over medium high heat. Add olive oil and allow to heat up. Add diced onion, broccoli rabe and garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Place flatbread on prepared baking sheet. Spread marinara sauce, top with broccoli rabe mixture and roasted red peppers. Top with cheese.
- Cook until cheese is melted and garnish with fresh chopped basil
